11th Edition of IIFA.. The Big Bollywood Bash Comes to Sri Lanka..!! But is it Missing the Icing on the Cake..?!

The 11th edition of International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards are to be held from today (3rd June 10') till the 5th of June10' in Colombo, Sri Lanka. This probably news you know well by now. And its supposed to bring Bollywood's color and cinematic magic to Colombo. Few of the lined up events are a fashion show, charity cricket match, Grand dinner for the stars and distinguished guests and the awards ceremony. So one would think this would be a great Bollywood bash then....... but will it..?!

Some crashing news we are hearing over the week is that the 11th IIFA edition held in Sri Lanka will actually miss some of Bollywood's biggest stars. Infact the brand ambassador of IIFA may not be present. Some the stars who are not expected to make a appearance is Abishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachan along with Arjun Rampal and some lines even point out Shahrukh Khan the diamond of Indian cinema would not pe present for the event. This is shock not only to film industry analysts but the country of Sri Lanka too. Without the likes of Bachans, Shahrukh and some hefty names the IIFA would miss the glitter of their show. It is these names that circle the headlines with IIFA, and them missing is a case big shock to many.

The reasons are complicating, mostly on the grounds of many tamil protesters, protesting to the artists movement to Sri Lanka for the awards. And the artists since they wanna keep their big pay check happy, they would pretty much be happy to sit back and "skip" this greatest award show of Indian Cinema. It may very well be the first IIFA awards where the big names such as Abishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachan, Arjun Rampal and Shahrukh Khan fail to appear. It is a great big insult to the country who is hosting the awards. Sri Lanka went through lot of difficulties in setting up the carpet for the IIFA awards to roll, and for them to see the big names failing to put their name in even is heart breaking to many.

Even with the missing big guns, the show will roll on. This edition of IIFA is said to be the greatest one there is, and how great it will be can only be seen with the days to come. I'm sure the rest of the stars performing for the evening would do a splendid job in spreading the Indian Cinematic culture to Sri Lanka and the world. It is with great expectancy the world over looks at this magical show to lighten up their living room, and so it will be. As they say in the olden days "Let the 11th edition of IIFA awards begin".

Justin Beiber The YouTube Millionaire

You probably have heard by now various people claiming they earn millions from the internet.. Yeah right..!!  But for that one young lucky dude Justin Beiber it is the case that changed his life. All Justin had to do to become this big buck millionare was to sing at a concert while his mom would recorded the performance and uploaded it to Youtube..!! Sounds familiar.. well this is something that happens in every home now a days. Luckily for him,  Scooter Braun, a former marketing executive of So So Def, clicked on one of Bieber's videos by accident. Impressed, Braun tracked down the theater Bieber was performing in, located Bieber's school contacted him.. blah blah blah.. gave him a contract and he was on his way too success..!!

Pretty stupid huh..!! Well kinda.. but it raked him millions of dollars in virtually no time at all..!! Well another interesting part is, his mom didn't approve him going going away and singing his guts out at first but (quote from Wikipedia) "after praying with her church elders and receiving their encouragement, she permitted Braun to fly Bieber, then 13, to Atlanta, Georgia to record demo tapes" So it was ultimately God who gave Justin the chance of earnings millions..!! (usually its the same for everyone) I sometimes wonder if their such christian family, does Justin Beiber give one-tenth of his earnings to God's work..?! Because it seems it was God's command that sent Justin forward, so he does owe a lot to God.

So if your interested in becoming a Youtube millionaire (by singing of course) all you got to do is to perform "well" at a local concert, have your mom or a friend record it, dash back home and upload it to Youtube and then afterwards to speak with your church elders and pray to God that by some miraculous chance that your video will be "accidentally" clicked by a famous producer who happens to track you down and fly away with you to make an album. Sounds pretty easy.. huh..!! Why wait for tomorrow, try your luck now..;D

Shakira Shakes Her Hips Away With Rafael Nadal On Gypsy

Shakira's video are usually sizzling ones.. it doesn't matter if the single made its way to the bill board or not, Shakira always tempts their fans with a little lust, seduction and of-course her mind boggling belly dancing. The new single "Gypsy" by Shakira was instant global hit. It dominated many charts..!! As the news spread Shakira was working on a video for the song.. everyone who follows Shakira was up on their toes to see what's firing up this time.. and boy were they in for a treat..!!

Shakira teamed up with Rafael Nadal on the video to really keep the video burning..!! Girls as usual had their day after seeing the video.. may be some guys too...:) Tweets and Facebook updates circled with the latest development.. people were wild to see the new video..;D The song it self is awesome but the video added a extra spice to it. Although the video didn't have any connecting meaning with the song.. it none the less grabbed millions of viewers attention.. that's what really matters in the end anyway.

Nadal might be star at the tennis court.. championing out the rest and ass kicking Federer all the way in a tennis court. But he's no ace when it comes to the cameras..!! :-s He goofed up quite a lot on the video.. I mean yes he's no actor and who can keep their mind straight when Shakira is belly dancing right in front of their eyes right..!! To tell the truth.. He did pretty good doing those close quarter seductive shots with Shakira (Lucky bugger..:@) I'm sure that was the star attraction of the entire video. The video was as everyone guessed, simply out of this world..;)

Rating - 8/10 (2 mark short of perfection for some goof ups and also for that fact that video lacks a few details [who cares right.. I DO..!!] )
